Marine equipment and innovation in Amsterdam
Metstrade 2026 takes place at RAI Amsterdam in the Netherlands from 17 to 19 November. The trade exhibition brings boatbuilders, equipment manufacturers, systems specialists, designers, distributors and industry visitors together to examine developments across the leisure marine sector. The exhibition is for trade professionals, with dedicated product, conference and networking activities.
Visitors can expect discussion of onboard safety, navigation, electrification, mechanical systems, comfort equipment, materials and the ways these products are integrated into new or existing boats. The programme addresses practical requirements of leisure boat owners through the companies and professionals who design, make, service and supply their vessels.
DAME Design Awards and opening programme
The DAME Design Awards will be announced at Metstrade's official opening on 17 November. The 2026 shortlist contains 74 nominated products selected from 153 entries across 30 countries, according to the organiser. The awards cover different marine equipment categories, with the judging process addressing design and use rather than the appearance of a complete yacht.
Daniamant's W4-VIR visible and infrared lifejacket light is among the nominated personal safety products. The manufacturer says its light combines a visible flashing beacon with an infrared signal that can be detected by compatible night-vision equipment. Compact-boat equipment on display
Webasto is introducing its compact SoLite 12 and SoLite 20 marine roof systems during the show, together with upgraded air conditioning and cabin heating products. Its announcement illustrates how equipment suppliers are bringing additional shade, ventilation and climate options to smaller recreational craft, as well as to larger vessels.
