Before you apply
Roles and manning requirements vary substantially with yacht size, flag, operation and whether the yacht is private or commercial. Check the requirements for the actual yacht and role rather than assuming superyacht crew rules apply unchanged.
Build the right foundation
Relevant maritime safety training, medical fitness, role-specific competence and documented experience can all matter. For commercial work, confirm current flag-state and regulatory requirements before paying for training.
