ZAR Formenti’s Imagine 115 sits at the top end of Leisure Boat Guide’s under-12m market, measuring 11.54m overall with a 3.76m beam. The builder positions it as the entry model in the ZAR Imagine line while also presenting it as a flagship expression of the brand’s current design direction.
The boat combines a stepped deep-V hull with large exterior entertaining areas and a surprisingly substantial interior. Two separate sleeping areas and a bathroom with an independent shower make it more than a simple day RIB.
11.54m length keeps the model inside LBG scope
The Imagine 115 remains below LBG’s strict 12m ceiling despite offering dimensions usually associated with much larger leisure craft. ZAR lists capacity for 16 people in CE category C and 12 in category B.
The tubes are divided into three compartments and have a diameter of 65cm. Fuel capacity is about 800 litres, while freshwater capacity is approximately 220 litres.
Twin outboards range from 350hp to 500hp each
ZAR specifies twin 350hp as the minimum installation, twin 425hp as the recommended setup and twin 500hp as the maximum. The upper configuration therefore gives the boat as much as 1,000hp in total.
That amount of power brings substantial performance potential but also higher fuel use, servicing costs and insurance considerations. Buyers should compare expected cruising speeds and load profiles rather than assuming the maximum engine package is automatically the best choice.
Interior volume broadens the boat’s role
Below deck, the Imagine 115 provides an owner’s cabin, a second aft cabin and a separate bathroom with shower. The layout supports weekends aboard and longer days on the water without sacrificing the large aft social area.
For LBG readers, the model shows how close the under-12m sector can come to small-yacht accommodation while retaining RIB construction and outboard propulsion. Its beam, weight and twin-engine installation will still require more berthing and operating planning than a conventional trailerable RIB.
