Yamaha announces a limited US autumn sales programme
Yamaha Marine has announced its Power Into Fall programme, running in the United States from 12 October to 14 December 2026 for eligible new outboard purchases through participating authorised dealers. The offer combines extended service coverage with dealer credits that depend on the horsepower category of the engine.
For boat owners considering a repower or a first outboard purchase, a promotion may help with the timing of the decision. It should not, however, displace a proper comparison of suitable engine weight, performance, installation costs and the support available in the intended cruising area.
The manufacturer states that eligibility depends on a range of conditions, including the engine model, dates and dealer participation. Any advertised benefit should therefore be confirmed in writing against the exact outboard model before a purchase is agreed.
Extended service is available for qualifying engines
Yamaha says eligible four-stroke outboards from 30 to 350 horsepower can receive three years of Yamaha Extended Service coverage as part of the promotion. Eligible models rated at 425 and 450 horsepower receive two years of additional coverage, with separate rules applying in Florida.
The extension can be useful for owners keeping a boat through several seasons, particularly when servicing and component replacement may be expensive. The actual scope of cover, exclusions and service obligations remain defined by the contract and should be read carefully.
Owners planning to keep a small boat for a long period should also consider whether an authorised service centre is conveniently available. A warranty has practical value only when a qualified dealer can support the particular engine and any required claim procedure.
Dealer credits vary by outboard size
The offer includes dealer credits of up to $500 for qualifying new Yamaha four-stroke outboards between 2.5 and 25 horsepower. Those sizes are of interest to dinghies, small tenders and lightweight recreational craft, although the benefit may differ from one model to another.
For eligible engines from 60 to 175 horsepower, Yamaha lists a $300 dealer credit on 60-to-90-horsepower models, $400 on 115-horsepower models and $600 on 150-to-175-horsepower models. These credits are intended for qualifying goods or services sold through the participating dealer rather than as a universal cash reduction.
The value of an installation should be assessed against its total cost, including rigging, controls, steering, propeller selection and any electrical work. A dealer credit can be attractive but does not guarantee that a higher-horsepower engine is suitable for the hull.
Siren-connected boat equipment forms another part of the offer
Yamaha is also promoting a $500 dealer credit towards eligible Siren accessories when a qualifying engine purchase is accompanied by the activation of a Siren subscription during the promotion period. The offer reflects the growing role of remote monitoring and connected-boat equipment in the recreational marine market.
Owners should check subscription costs, connectivity needs and the specific accessories covered by the dealer credit. A monitoring service may provide useful information while a boat is unattended, but alarms still depend on correct installation and the availability of a working connection.
The promotion is restricted to qualifying purchases by US residents from participating US dealers and includes a requirement that the engine was manufactured from January 2019 onwards. Anyone purchasing outside that market should not assume the same terms apply.
Choose the engine before choosing the promotion
Yamaha recommends discussing detailed conditions with an authorised participating dealer. The official material confirms that the programme is time-limited, but it does not establish the final all-in price that every dealer will charge for a new engine and installation.
For a leisure boat, matching power to the manufacturer’s approved range and the intended activities remains the main requirement. The best outcome is an engine that meets the boat’s safe operating needs, with a clear service plan and transparent purchase terms.
The autumn promotion offers another consideration for buyers planning an outboard purchase before winter. The correct decision still begins with the actual boat, its use and the long-term costs of ownership rather than the advertised value of an individual incentive.
