WIA has brought its 6.95m 230CC electric dayboat to Interboot 2026's dedicated E-Boat Area in Friedrichshafen. The centre-console model has a 2.35m beam, weighs about 1,200kg and is designed around quiet day use on lakes, rivers and sheltered coastal waters.
The standard propulsion package uses a 10kW direct-drive electric motor, while WIA also lists a 40kW option. The boat can carry up to eight people, giving the model a relatively large social capacity within a sub-seven-metre footprint.
Range depends heavily on operating speed
WIA publishes a maximum range of up to 54 nautical miles in a mode optimised for endurance and up to 32 nautical miles at its stated cruising condition. Those are manufacturer figures and should not be treated as guaranteed real-world results in every loading, weather or battery condition.
Electric-boat range can change substantially with speed, headwind, waves, passenger load and battery age. Prospective owners should therefore compare the expected duty cycle with the available charging infrastructure at their home berth or launch area.
Open centre-console layout for day use
The 230CC combines a walkaround centre console with an open deck, bathing ladder, deck shower, navigation lights and multiple storage spaces. A T-top provides shelter around the helm while keeping the boat visually and physically open for swimming and social use.
That arrangement is particularly suited to short leisure trips where deck access matters more than enclosed accommodation. It also keeps the electric model distinct from WIA's larger cabin-oriented yachts, several of which sit outside Leisure Boat Guide's size remit.
Interboot puts electric ownership beside conventional boats
The E-Boat Area gives visitors an opportunity to compare electric craft without separating them from the wider recreational market. For the WIA 230CC, the most useful comparisons are likely to be purchase price, charging time, usable range and maintenance against similar petrol-powered dayboats.
