Waydoo’s Flyer EVO Racer has taken a major competition result at the 2026 SFT E-Foil World Cup in Italy, where rider Agnes Wicander won the women’s division at Lake Garda. The result gives the electric hydrofoil platform another high-profile demonstration of its speed and control in competitive conditions rather than controlled product testing.
Waydoo says the event brought together 13 leading female riders. Wicander set the fastest time during the opening time trials with a 58-second run, then progressed through the elimination stages before winning every heat in the final phase of the competition.
Performance tested in changing conditions
The Lake Garda event exposed riders to waves and changing water conditions, requiring more than straight-line speed. Waydoo highlighted the Flyer EVO Racer’s acceleration, foil efficiency, high-speed stability and turning response as key elements of the competition setup.
For recreational eFoil buyers, racing results are useful because they put batteries, propulsion systems, boards and foil control under sustained stress. Competitive riding can reveal differences in balance, predictability and response that may be harder to judge from normal leisure use alone.
Electric foiling continues to mature
The result follows a growing international race calendar for powered foiling. Waydoo has used the 2026 season to place its Flyer EVO platforms in several SFT events, helping shift eFoiling from a niche recreational activity toward a more organised competitive discipline.
That development also has implications for the wider leisure market. Competition tends to accelerate improvements in weight reduction, power delivery, foil design and control systems, all of which can later influence products intended for everyday riders.
A small-craft segment built around technology
eFoils occupy a very different part of the leisure-boating market from conventional motorboats, but they share the same emphasis on reliable propulsion, intuitive control and safe operation on the water. The Italy result gives Waydoo a strong performance reference for its current Flyer EVO Racer while illustrating how rapidly electric boards are developing.
