TYKUN expands its tender range with a new flagship
TYKUN has unveiled the 12.9-metre TYKUN XII, a new aluminium flagship designed for superyacht tender and high-performance day-boat use. The model made its debut at the 2026 Monaco Yacht Show, where it operated as the official event tender for Royal Yacht International.
The XII can exceed 50 knots with twin outboards and is offered with 400hp, 450hp or 600hp engine choices. Fuel capacity reaches up to 1,360 litres, while freshwater capacity of up to 300 litres supports longer periods of independent operation away from the mothership or home marina.
High speed is paired with lifecycle assessment
The new model was presented alongside TYKUN’s wider range and received a Blue Wake Award in the Tenders and Water Toys category together with the TYKUN X. The recognition followed environmental lifecycle assessment work covering the two models rather than focusing only on their operating performance.
TYKUN says the assessment was used to produce an environmental product declaration, independently verified by RINA and registered within the international EPD system. That approach gives owners and yacht managers a more structured way to compare manufacturing and lifecycle impacts alongside speed, range, payload and handling.
Large tenders are becoming more specialised
Modern superyacht tenders are increasingly expected to combine guest transport, chase-boat capability, watersports support and independent coastal cruising within one platform. Aluminium construction can offer durability and repairability for intensive use, while high-output outboards simplify servicing in many cruising regions.
The TYKUN XII enters that market as a fast, relatively large tender with an emphasis on both performance and documented environmental assessment. Its reception after Monaco will show how strongly owners value that combination when specifying tenders for new-build and refit projects.
