Tiwal has expanded its inflatable sailing range with the 2XL, a 3.80-metre dinghy developed specifically for family use. It is the first Tiwal model to be equipped with a headsail as part of its standard sailing concept.
The boat is designed to carry two adults and two children, with a broad deck and inflatable wings intended to provide space and stability. Tiwal pairs a 9-square-metre mainsail with a 2-square-metre jib for light- to moderate-wind sailing.
The 2XL retains the portability that defines the brand. Tiwal says the boat packs into two bags and can be assembled in about 25 minutes, allowing it to be transported without a trailer or permanent marina berth.
The model widens the scope of the portable dinghy market by targeting families rather than only solo or performance sailors. It also shows how manufacturers are using inflatable structures to make sailing ownership possible for people without conventional boat storage.
