Kaohsiung prepares for a four-marina boat show
The 2026 Taiwan International Boat Show will return to Kaohsiung from 13 to 15 November with more than 77 yachts scheduled to appear across four waterfront venues. The fifth edition of the biennial event will also include more than 100 shoreside booths covering builders, equipment brands, services and the wider marine supply chain.
The show will use KhaShing Pier 22 Marina, Horizon City Marina, Argo Marina and Basin No.3 in the Asia New Bay Area. Spreading the fleet across several nearby waterfront locations allows organisers to combine an in-water yacht display with a broader trade exhibition without forcing the event into a single marina footprint.
Taiwan’s yacht-building sector takes centre stage
Taiwan has long been an important manufacturing base for internationally marketed motor yachts, with established builders producing both series yachts and larger custom projects. Holding the show in Kaohsiung places visiting buyers, suppliers and international brands close to one of the country’s principal marine-industry centres.
The exhibitor mix is expected to extend beyond complete yachts into propulsion, electronics, deck equipment, materials, marina services and related technology. That gives the show relevance not only to prospective owners but also to yards and suppliers looking for new commercial relationships within the Asian market.
Asia-Pacific shows regain strategic importance
For superyacht companies, regional events provide a way to reach owners and industry partners without relying solely on the major European autumn shows. Kaohsiung’s combination of local production capability and an international exhibitor base gives the Taiwan event a distinct industrial component alongside its consumer-facing programme.
The November dates also place the show after the main Mediterranean exhibition season, allowing builders and suppliers to shift attention toward Asia-Pacific markets. The scale of the 2026 fleet and the multi-marina format should provide a useful indicator of demand and confidence across Taiwan’s yachting sector.
