Swanwick event will return after its first nine-day run

The Swanwick Yachting Showcase will return in 2027 after participating brokers reported sales of both new and pre-owned boats during the event’s 2026 debut. The nine-day format was built around pre-arranged appointments at Swanwick Marina rather than unrestricted show footfall.

More than 50 yachts were displayed by Ancasta, Clipper Marine, MiCats, Sea Ventures, Sunseeker and Universal Yachting. The fleet included sailboats, powerboats, catamarans and brokerage vessels from a broad range of brands.

Appointment-led format targeted active buyers

Ancasta reported that about 70% of its visitors had booked in advance, giving sales teams more time with customers who were already considering a purchase. Universal Yachting reported two sales together with additional follow-up opportunities.

Six sailing yachts made UK show debuts, while the Rhéa 23 Origine had its UK premiere and selected boats were available for sea trials. Dealers said visitors valued the ability to compare boats and discuss requirements without the pressure of a conventional high-footfall show.

2027 planning begins with dates still to be confirmed

The decision to repeat the showcase reflects both buyer feedback and the commercial results reported by exhibitors. Organisers have not yet announced the 2027 dates or final participant list.

For the wider yacht market, the format provides another example of events becoming more targeted around qualified prospects and measurable sales activity. If the second edition builds on the first, appointment-led regional showcases may become a stronger complement to the large international boat-show calendar.
