SUBLUE will present the VAPOR Pro underwater scooter at the Southampton International Boat Show from 18 to 27 September 2026, where the organiser lists it as a world premiere. The model is positioned at the top of SUBLUE's pump-jet range and is aimed at yacht owners, resorts and experienced recreational users who want substantially more thrust than compact entry-level scooters provide.
249N thrust and four speed modes
SUBLUE quotes maximum thrust of 249N and four selectable speed settings of 6, 8, 10 and 12km/h. The 8.7kg scooter is designed to remain slightly positively buoyant in seawater, so it should rise rather than sink if released during normal use.
The manufacturer rates the VAPOR Pro to 40 metres and fits a 4.3-inch display showing speed, depth and battery status. Adjustable depth limits, ascent-rate warnings and return-battery alerts are intended to give the rider more information than a simple trigger-controlled recreational scooter.
Twin batteries target longer yacht use
Two 384.8Wh batteries are supplied as standard, with SUBLUE quoting up to 60 minutes per battery and up to 120 minutes total at lower-speed operation. Each battery can be fast-charged in about 1.5 hours, which allows one pack to be charging while the other remains in use.
That battery arrangement makes the product particularly relevant to boats where repeated swim-platform use can quickly exhaust a single pack. Owners still need to account for safe lithium-battery charging and storage aboard, especially when carrying multiple high-capacity packs in confined accommodation or tender spaces.
Designed for lockers, platforms and tender use
The VAPOR Pro measures roughly 54 x 38 x 29cm, making it compact enough for many yacht lockers despite its performance level. SUBLUE also provides a guarded propulsion unit, positive buoyancy and app connectivity for settings, usage data and firmware updates.
For leisure-boat owners, the main attraction is the combination of speed and portability rather than the headline depth rating alone. A unit that can move easily from swim platform to tender and still offer controlled performance in stronger currents is likely to be more useful in day-to-day boating than a bulkier specialist dive vehicle.
