Key Largo 25 receives Genoa design recognition

Sessa Marine’s Key Largo 25 has won the Design Innovation Award in the category for sailing, motor and inflatable craft up to 10 metres. The prize was presented during the 66th Genoa International Boat Show shortly after the model’s official presentation at the event.

The jury cited the way the boat combines contemporary styling with modular features normally associated with larger vessels. Sessa Marine sees the award as recognition not only for the individual model but also for the wider design direction being developed across the Key Largo range.

Compact platform uses larger-yacht layout ideas

The Key Largo 25 was designed by Daniele Mazzon’s Studio M with a focus on adaptable deck spaces and a recognisable family identity. The boat uses modular elements to allow owners to switch between seating, sunbathing and social configurations without increasing overall dimensions.

That flexibility reflects a broader trend across smaller production craft, where buyers increasingly expect functionality once reserved for larger yachts. Foldable furniture, convertible seating and clearer circulation can significantly change how much usable space a compact platform delivers.

Sessa plans a wider range renewal

The company says the KL25 forms part of a step-by-step renewal of the Key Largo family and will also influence the future Sessa yacht range. The aim is to create a more coherent design language while maintaining the practical characteristics associated with each model.

For Sessa Marine, the award gives the new programme an early endorsement before the wider product cycle is complete. The next indication of the strategy will come from subsequent Key Largo and larger Sessa launches using the same design principles.
