Saffier Yachts announced that its IJmuiden shipyard would open to visitors on 7 and 8 March 2026 for a pair of Experience Days. The event was designed to give sailing enthusiasts direct access to the builder's production environment rather than only completed boats.
The yard said guests would be guided through approximately 9,000 square metres of facilities and shown different parts of the building process. The programme also included opportunities to learn more about onboard systems, sails and rigging.
Saffier named partners including Seldén, B&G and North Sails as participants in the event. A separate day of test sailing was also offered on 9 March by request for listed models.
The open-yard format is particularly relevant to buyers comparing smaller European production yachts because it exposes construction, equipment and finishing choices before delivery. Saffier's current range includes multiple models below 12 metres, making the event directly relevant to Leisure Boat Guide's sailing coverage.
