Rhéa Marine is marking its 30th anniversary at Grand Pavois La Rochelle with two Heritage-series world premieres based on two of the French yard’s best-known compact models: the 27 Open and 730 Timonier. The anniversary editions are intended to reconnect the range with the visual identity and durable, workboat-influenced character that established Rhéa’s reputation on the Atlantic coast.
Both boats remain comfortably inside Leisure Boat Guide’s under-12m scope. Rhéa’s current published specifications give each model an overall length of 7.90 metres including the platform, but their roles are deliberately different: the 27 Open is an open dayboat while the 730 Timonier uses a protected wheelhouse for fishing, coastal cruising and all-season use.
Two anniversary editions for a 30-year milestone
Grand Pavois Organisation says the two Heritage models will make their world premieres during the La Rochelle show from 22 to 27 September. The series has been created as part of Rhéa Marine’s 30th-anniversary programme and follows the 23 Origine introduced in 2025 as an earlier expression of the yard’s return to its founding design codes.
The Heritage treatment is not being presented as a completely separate hull family. Instead, Rhéa is using established models to revisit the restrained styling, natural materials and robust construction associated with the brand while updating the boats for contemporary ownership.
27 Open keeps the dayboat brief
The current 27 Open has an overall length of 7.90 metres including its platform, a 2.80-metre beam and a light weight of around 1,350kg. Rhéa lists outboard power from 150hp to 300hp, a 280-litre fuel tank and a quoted maximum speed of 44 knots.
Its layout is focused on open-air use, with a clear cockpit and walkaround circulation intended for family outings, fishing and coastal day trips. Naval architecture is credited to Joubert-Nivelt, with Bertrand Danglade responsible for the design language that gives the boat its traditional Atlantic character.
730 Timonier adds a protected wheelhouse
The 730 Timonier V2 uses a 7.30-metre hull and also reaches 7.90 metres overall with the platform. It is wider at 3.00 metres and considerably heavier at around 3,000kg, reflecting its enclosed wheelhouse and more substantial cruising equipment.
Rhéa lists engine power from 150hp to 250hp and a 300-litre fuel tank. The current V2 already includes a redesigned wheelhouse, continuous glazing for improved visibility, a deep cockpit and secure side access, giving the Heritage treatment a practical all-weather platform rather than a purely cosmetic starting point.
World premieres on Rhéa’s home ground
The choice of Grand Pavois is significant because Rhéa Marine builds in La Rochelle and has long been associated with the region’s boating culture. The 2026 show therefore functions as both an anniversary event and a product launch on the yard’s home ground.
For buyers, the two premieres offer contrasting routes into the same design philosophy: the lighter, faster 27 Open for exposed day boating and the heavier 730 Timonier for owners who value protection and year-round utility. Both will be presented as Heritage editions when Grand Pavois opens on 22 September.
