An open boat with a flexible brief
The Quicksilver 805 Open appears in Barcelona International Boat Show’s October 2026 list of smaller motorboats. The builder quotes a length of 7.66 metres and a beam of 2.55 metres, fitting an active family-boating market. It is designed to provide the open spaces of a dayboat without limiting owners to one specific activity.
The layout can support coastal cruising, swimming and recreational fishing, depending on equipment. That flexibility is attractive, but buyers should be realistic about what they do most often. A cockpit arranged around rod holders may not be as useful for social dining as one fitted with lounge seating.
A walk-around deck and deep cockpit
Quicksilver emphasises convenient circulation from the aft deck toward the bow and a secure feeling within the cockpit. Opening points at the stern make boarding from a pontoon or water activities more straightforward. The bow seating can change from a conversation area to a sun lounge, allowing the same space to serve different parts of the day.
Boat owners should test how those seating changes work when the cockpit contains bags and equipment. Handholds, non-slip surfaces and the ease of returning everything to safe travel positions are important. A generous open plan requires suitable shade and careful passenger management in rougher conditions.
Single outboard power up to 300 horsepower
The manufacturer lists a single-outboard installation with a maximum rating of 300 horsepower. The stated fuel capacity is approximately 280 litres, with an eighty-litre freshwater tank. Owners considering longer trips should obtain fuel consumption at typical cruising speeds and maintain a sufficient reserve for diversion.
The current specification permits up to ten passengers and describes two berths in its cabin arrangement. Such capacities have different meanings: ten people aboard for a short trip will not have accommodation for ten overnight. Prospective buyers should inspect privacy, ventilation and the practical cabin dimensions.
Evaluating the exhibition boat
Barcelona offers a setting to compare the 805 Open with other centre-console and cuddy powerboats. The main questions concern how the owner intends to use the boat, whether equipment is easily maintained and what the local marina or trailer arrangements require. Fishing, watersports and entertaining packages deserve separate examination.
The model's listing is not evidence of a new 2026 launch. Buyers should check the engine fitted to the specific exhibited unit, clarify which options are standard and arrange a sea trial. Its value lies in adaptable small-boat use rather than any one headline performance figure. The value of a modest weekend cabin also depends on how much gear can be stored away from the sleeping area. A sensible visit to the show includes checking access beneath seating, cockpit drainage and the ability to use the boat comfortably when shade or privacy is needed.
