A maxi-RIB with an Italian design identity
The Barcelona International Boat Show lists the Pirelli 35 for its 14–18 October 2026 in-water event, with a published length of 11.55 metres and beam of 3.82 metres. Built under the Pirelli Speedboats identity, the model places an inflatable-tube outline around a substantial open deck and sheltered accommodation. This makes it relevant to recreational boaters seeking performance and social versatility below twelve metres.
An 11.55-metre rigid-inflatable can support a much broader programme than the small tenders traditionally associated with the RIB category. It may be used for swimming trips, dining at anchor and short overnight excursions. Equally, its running costs, berth needs and service arrangements should be considered as those of a serious motorboat, not an oversized dinghy.
A long cockpit dedicated to guests
The model's exterior arrangement uses an open cockpit and generous sunbathing space, aiming to keep a group together while enjoying the water. The distinctive tubing runs along the hull sides while the hard surfaces create platforms for standing and relaxing. Guests can move between a social aft area and the driving console, but circulation and the available handholds deserve careful examination.
A boat-show visit should include checking how the seats support passengers when travelling at speed. A wide open layout can look excellent at rest but still require disciplined seating and secure stowage underway. The height of the bathing platform and the provision of ladders also matter for swimmers of different abilities.
Power choices need a close look
Pirelli publishes configurations with substantial power intended to deliver fast planing performance. Buyers should determine which propulsion installation is fitted on the particular yacht and obtain the manufacturer's current fuel-consumption and weight data for that arrangement. Speed expectations are highly sensitive to passenger load, propeller choice and sea conditions.
A buyer who uses the boat primarily for relaxed coastal trips might prioritise noise, efficiency and low-speed control over the most powerful option. Maintenance access, dealer location and the cost of winter storage may influence ownership more than a small difference in top speed. The technical sheet should also confirm permitted passenger capacity and the boat's applicable design category.
What Barcelona adds to the decision
The Pirelli 35 is one of several large RIBs and open motorboats that can be compared on adjacent pontoons. Its design makes a particular proposition: tube-supported aesthetics and a large exterior living area, with enough shelter for more than a single afternoon out. Buyers should compare the finished cabin, headroom, weather protection and real storage against other models of similar length.
The 2026 exhibition is a chance to inspect an existing model, not proof of a newly announced launch or a fixed delivery schedule. A suitable sea trial remains the best way to understand ride quality, spray and handling. Pricing and equipment should be recorded against the actual configuration under consideration.
