The all-new Nimbus Sport Tender 35 has made its world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026, introducing the first model in a new Sport Cruiser 35 family. At 10.80 metres overall, the boat remains within Leisure Boat Guide’s under-12m scope while combining day-boat deck space with enough accommodation for a weekend aboard.
A new twin-stepped 35-foot platform
Nimbus developed a new twin-stepped, air-lubricated hull for the Sport Tender 35 rather than adapting an existing model. The hull is vacuum-infused with a Divinycell sandwich structure, and the finished boat has a quoted light displacement of 4,524kg.
Overall beam is 3.20 metres and hull length is 10.65 metres. CE certification is Category C for 10 people and Category B for six, giving the model a wider operating brief than a purely sheltered-water dayboat.
Three Mercury propulsion configurations
The current Nimbus specification lists a single Mercury Verado V10 350hp, a single V10 425hp or twin V8 300hp outboards. The builder says the boat cruises comfortably between 30 and 36 knots and currently expects around 45 knots at the top end with the twin-V8 installation.
Nimbus is careful to state that the performance numbers remain provisional until final on-water verification is complete and Mercury has signed them off. That distinction matters because final speed, economy and range depend on propeller selection, load and the production setup rather than early development targets alone.
Dayboat deck with five-berth capability
The design uses two multifunctional deck areas, with broad forward sun lounges and seating for eight, a large aft U-sofa that converts to a sun bed and electrically operated side balconies to enlarge the waterside area at anchor. A split wet bar keeps the centreline passage open rather than blocking movement through the cockpit.
Below deck, Nimbus provides a full-length double berth forward, two berths in the mid-cabin and an additional sofa berth, giving a nominal 2+2+(1) arrangement. A separate toilet and shower make the boat practical for short cruising rather than limiting it to same-day use.
First of three Sport Cruiser 35 variants
The Sport Tender is the first of three boats planned on the same platform. Nimbus says a Sport Weekender and Sport Coupé will follow, allowing the company to spread the new hull across more open and more weather-protected configurations.
For buyers looking at 10-to-11-metre premium dayboats, the important point is that the ST35 combines genuine overnight capability with a large open-deck format rather than forcing a choice between the two. Leisure Boat Guide already lists the Sport Tender 35 in its production-boat database and will update the model record as the final sea-trial figures are released.
