Marina & Yard Zone moves to Hall 9
The dedicated zone will move into a larger space in Hall 9, close to the expanded Superyacht Zone and the Yacht Infrastructure Summit. METSTRADE says the layout is intended to create a more concentrated meeting point for marina operators, developers, investors, yard managers and suppliers.
The event runs at RAI Amsterdam from 17 to 19 November. Visitors will be able to compare marina infrastructure, equipment, management technology and services while also meeting boatbuilders and other marine businesses that depend on well-developed waterfront facilities.
Investment decisions are becoming more complex
METSTRADE points to several pressures shaping marina investment: larger and more sophisticated boats, higher expectations for shore services, sustainability requirements, electrification and the spread of digital management systems. Consolidation of smaller marinas into larger networks is adding another layer to the market.
For ordinary leisure-boat owners, those trends are visible in practical ways. Shore-power capacity, charging, Wi-Fi, water, booking systems, access control and berth availability increasingly influence the ownership experience, even though much of the technology and capital investment happens behind the scenes.
Programme extends beyond exhibition stands
The 2026 programme includes the HISWA Marina Symposium on 19 November, with sessions on market development, tourism, electrification and new business opportunities. The Yacht Infrastructure Summit on 18 November will add discussion around development, investment, energy, technology and customer experience.
By combining products with operational and investment content, METSTRADE is treating marina infrastructure as a core part of the leisure-marine ecosystem rather than a background service. That makes the expanded zone relevant well beyond superyachts, particularly as smaller craft owners encounter more electric propulsion and digitally managed marina services.
