METSTRADE has released the content programme for its 2026 exhibition at RAI Amsterdam, scheduled for 17 to 19 November. The conference agenda is designed around practical responses to changing demand, digital transformation, cost pressure and the need for greater efficiency across the leisure-marine industry.

Groupe Beneteau chief executive Bruno Thivoyon will give the keynote at the official opening. ICOMIA's announcement says the programme has been structured around three main themes: accessibility and inclusion, sustainability, and innovation.

Volume-boat pressures shape the discussion

The programme arrives against a mixed market background, with ICOMIA and Boats Group data cited by the organisers showing average new-boat prices down 6.9% year on year while parts of the premium market remain more resilient. That split matters to LBG because most under-12m production boats sit much closer to the high-volume end of the recreational market.

Sessions will look at production efficiency, supply chains, changing customer expectations and ways manufacturers can respond to a more difficult trading environment. The programme is therefore broader than a conventional product showcase and puts commercial decisions alongside technical innovation.

Technology and sustainability remain central

Digitalisation, automation, artificial intelligence, advanced materials and new propulsion systems are among the technologies due to be discussed. Sustainability sessions will cover emissions reduction, circularity, regulation and practical ways companies can turn environmental commitments into measurable changes.

Equipment launches remain an LBG priority

METSTRADE will also host the DAME Design Awards and Boat Builder Awards, alongside more than a conventional conference schedule. For Leisure Boat Guide, the November show remains especially important as a source of propulsion, electronics, deck hardware, safety equipment and manufacturing technology relevant to boats below 12 metres.
