A refreshed family cruiser at Port Vell

Jeanneau's Merry Fisher 1095 Fly Series 2 is listed among the motorboats at Barcelona International Boat Show, taking place from 14 to 18 October 2026. The event catalogue places it in the compact ten-to-eleven-metre class. Jeanneau's Series 2 technical information quotes an overall length of approximately 10.95 metres, ensuring it fits comfortably below Leisure Boat Guide's twelve-metre boundary.

The model represents a revised version of an established family cruiser rather than a newly announced world premiere in October. Its appeal is a combination of enclosed main-deck living, an upper helm and cabin accommodation. The exhibition offers an opportunity to evaluate the revised layout directly rather than comparing different model-year brochures.

A forward deck designed for conversation

An important change in the Series 2 design is the forward leisure area, incorporating adjustable loungers and facing benches for social use. Many family motorboats place most of their outdoor seating in the cockpit, so a more developed bow space can make time at anchor feel less crowded. Guests have another place to gather without occupying the steering position.

Safe movement toward the bow is central to the usefulness of the arrangement. Buyers should examine handholds, steps and how any forward cushions are secured. A seating area that is appealing in a calm harbour must still be used appropriately at sea; passengers should follow the skipper's instructions when conditions or manoeuvres make exposed locations unsafe.

Flybridge living and protected accommodation

The flybridge provides a second steering position and an open-air gathering space, useful in warm weather and when enjoying the coastline. Below, Jeanneau highlights an extended galley, an owner's cabin with a private bathroom and flexible sleeping arrangements. The published concept is intended to support longer weekends rather than only afternoon visits to nearby beaches.

Actual cabin comfort becomes clearer when visitors sit on the berths, test access to lockers and inspect ventilation. A family with young children has different priorities from two couples cruising together. The number of sleeping spaces alone does not settle privacy, quietness or convenience during several days afloat.

Fly or Coupé: the important ownership choice

Jeanneau also produces the 1095 Series 2 in Coupé form, which gives buyers a meaningful choice between an elevated open-air helm and a lower, simpler profile. A flybridge can add enjoyment, but its stairs, wind exposure and maintenance should be considered alongside any local bridge-height constraints. The decision depends on intended cruising conditions.

At Barcelona, a prospective owner should verify which model and configuration is physically present, then request an up-to-date equipment and propulsion list. Engines, navigation electronics, heating, cooling and other systems may differ between examples. A properly organised sea trial and written quotation are more informative than a headline specification alone.
