MasterCraft's 2027 XT22 is being shown at Interboot 2026 as a versatile wake and surf boat for families and larger groups. The model measures 6.81m long and seats up to 16 people, keeping it firmly within Leisure Boat Guide's under-12m coverage.
The XT22 combines MasterCraft's SurfStar wave-control system with a substantial ballast package and a deep cockpit. The current manufacturer specification also brings the new SoundStage audio system into the model's standard equipment.
SurfStar remains central to the XT22
SurfStar is included on the XT22 and works with the hull and ballast system to shape wakes for surfing and wakeboarding. MasterCraft publishes ballast capacity around the 3,500lb mark for the current model, depending on final configuration.
That capability makes the XT22 a specialist watersports platform rather than a general-purpose bowrider. Owners should consider how often they will use the surf systems because ballast, fuel and passenger load all affect handling and towing weight.
Sixteen seats in a 22ft 4in boat
The XT22's 22ft 4in hull uses deep seating, transom lounges and a broad cockpit to accommodate large groups. The manufacturer also lists 103 cubic feet of storage, which is important when boards, ropes and passenger gear are carried together.
The published boat weight is 5,485lb before trailer and much of the normal cruising load. A suitable tow vehicle therefore needs to be selected from the complete loaded road weight rather than the dry-boat figure alone.
Interboot gives the 2027 model European exposure
The Friedrichshafen show listing identifies the XT22 as a 2027 model and confirms the boat's current European exhibition. That makes the show appearance relevant even though the XT family itself is already established.
Engine choices include Ilmor petrol units, with the 5.3-litre GDI HO listed as the standard current option. Regional packages can differ, so buyers should confirm engine, ballast and tower equipment with their local dealer.
