Lomac’s current Turismo range now includes the Turismo 8.5, an 8.45m rigid inflatable boat positioned between the smaller 7.0 and larger 9.5 models. The boat combines a 3.13m overall beam with a quoted dry weight of 1,800kg.
The Turismo line is aimed at day boating and family use rather than race-focused performance. Lomac’s published specification gives the 8.5 a maximum engine rating of twin 200hp outboards.
8.45m hull stays comfortably inside LBG scope
The Turismo 8.5 has an overall length of 8.45m and therefore sits well below Leisure Boat Guide’s 12m ceiling. Its beam gives the deck plan more usable space than narrower sports RIBs of a similar length.
Lomac uses Hypalon ORCA 1670 dtex tube material on the model and lists the boat in CE category C. Passenger capacity is still shown as to be determined on the current technical page, so that figure should not be assumed until Lomac publishes the final certification data.
Twin 200hp is the maximum published power
The builder specifies a maximum of twin 200hp outboards and a transom height of 762mm. Owners comparing single- and twin-engine setups should consider both performance and the extra weight, cost and servicing burden of two engines.
Twin installations can provide redundancy and stronger low-speed control, but they also increase fuel use and maintenance points. The right configuration will depend on loading, cruising area and how the boat is used.
Turismo range focuses on practical day boating
The 8.5 joins a Turismo line that prioritises straightforward family layouts and broad recreational use. It gives Lomac another option in the high-8m segment without moving into the heavier luxury-RIB territory occupied by the company’s larger ranges.
For buyers, the important comparison points will be actual passenger certification, optional equipment and final engine package. Lomac notes that published weights and dimensions may vary by around three percent, so a build-specific specification should be checked before purchase.
