Funding for access to sailing
RYA Scotland secured support through sportscotland for a £40,000 Summer of Sailing Community Youth Activation Fund. The programme formed part of the national 2026 Summer of Sport initiative.
The announcement was made in May and describes the funding available for that season. It should not be treated as confirmation that the same application window remains open.
A wider participation objective
The national programme was supported by a Scottish Government investment described as £20 million across summer sport. The sailing fund focused on introducing young people to local water-based activities.
