A new route into marina employment

D-Marin has launched Marin-Up, an 18-month development programme for recent graduates and early-career applicants. It combines practical marina work with wider business exposure.

Marina operations cover many functions beyond allocating a berth. A structured route can introduce candidates to the range of skills behind a working harbour.

Learning the daily operation

The first year includes rotations through customer experience, harbour operations and a supporting business function. Participants are intended to learn how guest services and practical harbour needs connect.

Small-boat customers depend on that coordination for access, safety and maintenance support. Knowledge of the daily operation can be as important as a polished reception service.

The final project phase

The last six months focus on cross-functional projects involving areas such as technology, sustainability and operational improvement. D-Marin says successful participants may progress to a permanent management position.

Any employment outcome depends on completion and the company’s criteria. Applicants should check the current requirements and locations directly.

A wider marine career path

The programme shows how the marina industry can attract people who have not followed a traditional seagoing career. Staff with a broader operational understanding can support boaters in many settings.

The official announcement and programme-specific image give the structure of Marin-Up. Candidates should confirm application dates, eligibility and remuneration with the company.
