EX becomes a new Jeanneau motor-boat family

Jeanneau has introduced EX as a new motor-boat range alongside Cap Camarat, Merry Fisher, TH and DB Yachts. The first model is the EX 34, a 10.4-metre platform developed independently rather than as an evolution of an existing Jeanneau hull.

The range name refers to Elements and Crossplatform, reflecting the company’s intention to create adaptable boats around a common architecture. The EX 34 is offered in Hardtop and Cabin versions with the same underlying deck platform.

Deep-V hull supports twin-outboard power

The EX 34 uses a purpose-designed deep-V hull and can be equipped with twin outboards up to 350hp each. Provisional specifications include twin 300-litre fuel tanks, a 100-litre freshwater tank, four berths and two cabins.

The Hardtop version keeps the aft cockpit open and uses a quick-deploy soft enclosure for weather protection. The Cabin version adds a fully glazed wheelhouse with a large sliding opening, allowing the central living area to be enclosed when conditions require it.

Five-zone deck layout targets flexible ownership

Jeanneau divides the boat into aft platforms, aft cockpit, central saloon, helm station and forward lounge. The convertible saloon and integrated galley are intended to support both day use and short cruising without forcing owners into a single fixed configuration.

The EX 34 enters a crowded segment where buyers compare versatility, protection, outboard power and overnight capability within a relatively compact footprint. Its success will determine how quickly Jeanneau expands the new EX family beyond the launch model.
