Six main pavilions organise the show floor
The show groups exhibitors into Next-Gen Power & Performance, International, Compliance Standards & Education, Electronics, Composites and Start-Up pavilions. The International area is being developed with Metstrade, while NMEA sponsors the electronics section.
For small-boat builders and suppliers, that structure can shorten the time needed to compare equipment from competing manufacturers. It also makes new propulsion and electronics easier to find in a show that covers a very broad marine industry. The format also gives smaller suppliers a clearer place to meet builders who might otherwise miss them on a large show floor.
On-water demonstrations sit alongside the exhibition
The IBEX Docks provide live demonstrations, while Innovation Way displays entries for the 2026 Innovation Awards. A waterfront Main Stage and lounge add technical presentations and networking outside the normal booth format.
Seeing equipment operate can be more informative than a static display, particularly for controls, propulsion and onboard systems. Buyers still need to separate demonstration conditions from the way a product will perform on their own boat. Live demonstrations are especially useful when a component's value depends on feel, noise, response or installation quality.
Trade Routes create themed paths
IBEX is also publishing Marina & Yard, Sustainable Technology, Electronics and Career Day routes through the exhibition. The idea is to let visitors follow a defined subject rather than trying to cover every hall.
That approach is useful for smaller businesses whose staff cannot spend several days walking the entire show. A boatbuilder looking for electronics can focus on one route and reserve more time for detailed supplier meetings. Focused routes can also help visitors compare similar products before returning to suppliers for more detailed discussions.
The show runs in Tampa from 6 to 8 October
The International BoatBuilders' Exhibition and Conference takes place at the Tampa Convention Center and waterfront. Innovation Award winners are announced during the Industry Breakfast as part of the three-day programme.
LBG covers IBEX because many of the components launched there eventually appear on ordinary leisure boats. New displays, battery systems, fittings, propulsion and safety products often reach the sub-12m market quickly after their trade-show debut. That trade-show pipeline ultimately affects owners when new products move from prototype displays into production boats.
