Honda introduces seven matched motorboat packages
Honda Marine Europe has revealed a new family of seven fibreglass recreational boats developed with Italian manufacturer BMA. The 4XC range made its European debut at the Genoa Boat Show and combines selected Honda outboards with specifically matched hull designs.
British Marine described the partnership in early October 2026, confirming models ranging from a compact 5.88-metre open boat to a 9.10-metre cabin sundeck. All seven fall within the under-12-metre recreational boat market.
Four centre-console models cover several needs
The open centre-console range includes the H188 at 5.88 metres, H200 at 6.58 metres, H244 at 7.50 metres and H266 at 8.20 metres. The models are designed for different groups and intended power levels, from smaller day trips to more substantial coastal outings.
The H188 is offered with 40-to-100-horsepower options, while the larger H266 is designed for much greater outboard power, including selected twin-engine configurations. Specifications must be checked for the exact version being considered.
Three models add cabin accommodation
The cabin sundeck range comprises the H255 at 7.65 metres, H277 at 8.20 metres and H299 at 9.10 metres. The layout adds shelter and sleeping or day-use accommodation compared with fully open centre-console craft.
The largest H299 has a stated beam of 2.90 metres and a 560-litre fuel capacity. Honda lists possible twin-outboard packages up to two 300-horsepower engines, subject to the relevant specification.
Dealer-backed ownership is a selling point
Honda says the integrated packages will be distributed through its European dealer network beginning in November. The company intends to provide associated servicing, warranty and after-sales support through established Honda channels.
A combined sales arrangement can simplify conversations about engine fit and technical support. Buyers still need to verify what the warranty covers, which equipment is standard and whether their local dealer can support the whole boat.
Seven boats, not one universal solution
Although the models share a family identity, their lengths, passenger capacities, fuel tanks and propulsion choices differ substantially. A day-fishing owner may prioritise deck access, while a family cruiser may value shelter and seating.
Prospective customers should compare the published technical sheets and arrange a proper demonstration. The Genoa presentation establishes the range's launch, not independent performance tests or guaranteed delivery dates.
