Highfield's Sport 660 Electric pairs its existing 6.65-metre RIB hull with an electric propulsion package from Flux Marine. The manufacturer specifies a 74kW drive, a fitted battery system and a distinctly different weight from the conventional petrol-powered Sport 660.
A defined electric configuration
Highfield lists the electric model as a North American offering, so owners elsewhere should not assume immediate local availability. The boat has a 2.56-metre beam and six air chambers, with a fitted console and seating in its standard specification.
The builder describes the propulsion package as 115hp equivalent or 74kW. Those marketing comparisons are not a guarantee of the same endurance, range or speed as every 115hp petrol installation.
Battery weight changes the calculation
Highfield quotes 1,542 kilograms for boat, standard seating, sundeck, platform, Flux battery and outboard pack. The comparable conventional Sport 660's quoted basis is significantly lighter.
A boat's actual lifting, trailering and load calculation needs the installed battery, outboard, crew and equipment. Owners should not apply conventional-RIB trailer assumptions without a complete weight statement.
Capacity and everyday use
The official electric version lists up to twelve people and a maximum load of 1,630 kilograms under the maker's stated loading definition. It can support day outings when a reliable charging arrangement and realistic reserve are available.
Battery endurance depends on speed, weather and carried load; a fixed route should be planned around tested consumption rather than a generic electric-boat claim. Charging equipment also requires the correct electrical installation.
A model-specific development
This is a manufacturer-offered electric Sport 660, not proof that a particular hull has just been handed to an owner. Its difference from the standard 200hp-rated petrol Sport 660 is central to comparing the options.
