Highfield Boats and Honda Marine UK will give the 9.2-metre ADV9 Adventure Crossover its official UK debut at the 2026 Southampton International Boat Show. The model will be displayed with twin Honda BF250 outboards as part of a joint stand bringing together Highfield’s RIB range and Honda’s latest outboard technology.
The ADV9 already sits within Leisure Boat Guide’s production database, but the Southampton appearance marks a distinct market milestone for UK buyers. British Marine’s 14 September release confirms a quoted top speed of 50 knots and a cruising range of up to 250 nautical miles.
A 9.2m crossover built for broader use
Highfield positions the ADV9 between a traditional open RIB and a more enclosed adventure boat. Its cabin-crossover layout is intended to extend the season, while the aluminium-hull construction and inflatable collar retain the robustness and practicality associated with the brand’s larger RIBs.
The model has also been nominated for European Powerboat of the Year 2027 and is a finalist in the Best RIBs category of the 2026 Best of Boats Awards, giving the Southampton debut added significance for a model still early in its market rollout.
Twin Honda BF250 power
The UK display boat will use two Honda BF250 outboards. Honda and Highfield say the package is intended as a fully matched installation, with the engine choice supporting the ADV9’s quoted 50-knot maximum speed while targeting a balance of fuel efficiency, low noise and straightforward ownership.
The joint stand will also show Honda’s wider outboard range from 2.3hp to 350hp, including updated V6 and four-cylinder engines and the BF350 V8. That broader display places the ADV9 within a complete propulsion package rather than treating the hull and engines as separate products.
More Highfield boats at Southampton
Highfield will also display the ADV7, Sport 700 and Patrol 540 Coaster. The ADV7 arrives with recent Dutch Boat of the Year recognition, while the smaller Patrol 540 continues the company’s focus on accessible family and utility RIBs.
For Leisure Boat Guide readers, the ADV9 remains one of the more substantial sub-12m crossover RIBs now entering the UK market. Its Southampton debut gives buyers a chance to compare its cabin arrangement, twin-outboard package and long-range claims directly with competing adventure boats in the same size band.
