A small cruising yacht with serious interior space
The Hanse 360 appears in Barcelona International Boat Show’s sailing fleet for 14–18 October 2026. At 11.18 metres overall with a beam of 3.99 metres, the model belongs comfortably within Leisure Boat Guide’s under-12-metre editorial scope. Hanse describes the design as particularly manageable for smaller crews, making it relevant to couples who want to enjoy extended coastal cruising.
The boat combines a contemporary hull form with an interior that can be configured for differing priorities. A buyer planning to spend several weeks aboard may choose storage and a generous owner’s cabin over the maximum number of berths. That is a different task from occasional charter use.
Sail handling designed around small crews
The rig and deck layout put emphasis on uncomplicated sail handling from the helm area. Hanse’s model information lists approximately 66 square metres of sail and a range of arrangements suited to single-handed or short-handed operation. Precise winch positions, sail-control options and electronic equipment must be confirmed for the actual specification.
Easy handling is relative to crew experience and conditions. A boat with convenient controls still needs a properly prepared reefing plan, watchkeeping and appropriate safety equipment. Visitors should walk the deck from cockpit to bow and consider access when the boat is heeled rather than only at rest in harbour.
Cabin choices and propulsion options
The Hanse 360 can be arranged with two or three cabins and different bathroom and storage configurations. A galley, useful tankage and a generous main saloon allow the yacht to serve as more than a day sailer. The published standard propulsion is a small diesel, with an electric alternative available in some packages.
The builder’s figures include approximately 160 litres of fuel and 345 litres of freshwater, although actual capacities should be checked against a dated build sheet. Choosing an electric drive also requires an understanding of charging, battery management and realistic motoring duration when the wind falls away.
Comparing its practical value
At a boat show, the Hanse 360 can be assessed against other mid-thirty-foot cruising yachts for cockpit comfort, cabin layout, sail area and interior construction. The most luxurious-looking cabin is not necessarily the one that provides the best sea berths or handholds during a passage.
The October listing confirms an exhibition rather than a newly announced launch. Potential buyers should obtain full options pricing, delivery timing and evidence of equipment support. A trial under sail is the clearest way to judge whether the model suits the pace and sailing conditions intended. The practical decisions extend to sail inventory and the kind of conditions in which a couple usually sails. A self-tacking jib may simplify ordinary manoeuvres, while careful choice of downwind sails and reefing equipment can improve the boat’s suitability for longer coastal passages.
