Twenty-four launches accelerate range renewal
Groupe Beneteau says 24 models are being introduced for the 2026-27 season as part of a plan for 66 launches between 2025 and 2027. The group says that pace represents a 50 percent increase in range renewal compared with the previous three-year period.
For leisure-boat buyers, a faster renewal cycle means more choice but also makes model-year comparisons more important. New layouts, electronics and propulsion options can arrive quickly, so buyers should check exact production specifications rather than assuming a familiar model name means an unchanged boat.
Sub-12m dayboats form part of the programme
Among the dayboating launches, the group highlights the Jeanneau Cap Camarat 6.0 CC, Beneteau Flyer 30, Jeanneau EX 34 and new Wellcraft 33 variants. These models sit within or close to the core size range covered by Leisure Boat Guide and target family cruising, watersports and coastal day use.
The variety also shows how the small-boat market is fragmenting into more specialised uses. Centre consoles, walkarounds and compact cruisers increasingly share similar lengths while offering very different protection, accommodation, deck circulation and engine packages.
NEO grows from two models to eight
The NEO pre-owned refit programme is expanding from two Lagoon models to eight models across Lagoon, Beneteau and Jeanneau. Groupe Beneteau says the service uses original technical data and manufacturer expertise to recondition and modernise existing boats rather than treating refit as a purely third-party activity.
Manufacturer-backed refit can be attractive where owners want updated systems with clearer access to original drawings and specifications. The practical value will depend on pricing, the age and condition of the individual boat and whether the work materially improves reliability, efficiency or resale prospects.
Used boats become a larger part of the strategy
Groupe Beneteau notes that three to five pre-owned boats change hands for every new boat sold, making the existing fleet an important part of the customer journey. NEO is intended to extend boat life while giving the group a more direct role in the second-hand market.
That approach is relevant below 12 metres because used boats form a major route into ownership. A structured refit programme can reduce uncertainty, but buyers should still obtain an independent condition assessment and understand what is renewed, what remains original and what warranty applies.
