A wider-ranging update for Godfrey pontoons
Godfrey Pontoon Boats has announced a complete redesign of the AquaPatio range for the 2027 model year, with changes to the helm, furnishings, styling and performance. The company says feedback from owners and dealers shaped a boat intended for cruising, watersports and entertaining.
The range occupies an increasingly competitive part of the recreational boating market, where pontoons are asked to provide more than straightforward transport across a lake. Customers want safe and comfortable movement around the deck, social spaces that can change function, and helm equipment that feels intuitive without hiding basic controls.
Godfrey says the new generation can be ordered through authorised dealers beginning in October 2026. Specific prices, model availability and delivery schedules will therefore depend on the dealer and the configuration chosen.
Touchscreens and lighting at the helm
A new nine-inch touchscreen is fitted as standard, with a twelve-inch upgrade available. The dashboard brings together instrumentation, audio and lighting controls, while additional storage and revised ergonomics are intended to improve the experience of a driver spending long days at the wheel.
The manufacturer has also introduced NytCruz, an automatic system for activating navigation and anchor lights when needed. Any automatic lighting feature still requires familiarisation and proper confirmation that required lights are operating under the actual conditions encountered.
An owner considering a family boat should check display visibility in sunlight, access to frequently used controls, and what happens when a screen becomes unavailable. A good helm should remain understandable to somebody who does not use the boat every day.
Modular fittings and replaceable cushion covers
AquaPatio now offers Click & Cruise rails, a tool-free accessory mounting arrangement designed to let an owner move or add equipment for cruising, fishing or watersports. It is a practical response to the way a multipurpose pontoon may be used differently from one weekend to the next.
Godfrey has also introduced RENUIT replaceable cushion covers, allowing upholstery surfaces to be removed and renewed without specialist tools. That could be useful where frequent family use exposes seating to food, sun, water and general wear.
Owners should still ask about replacement-part availability, accessory load limits and the care required for specific upholstery finishes. Ease of replacement is attractive, but it does not remove the need for suitable cleaning and storage.
New twin-engine layout extends to 27 feet five inches
The updated twin-engine configuration grows from the previous twenty-five-foot-six-inch deck to twenty-seven feet five inches, with capacity for combined engine power of up to 1,000 horsepower when correctly specified. That headline rating relates to the appropriate platform and should not be applied to every AquaPatio variant.
The manufacturer has revised the external rail skin and introduced additional colour and layout options, including arch and tower choices. These give buyers more opportunity to select a boat around their preferred watersports equipment and the way passengers will use the deck.
Power and performance choices should begin with the approved hull and engine combinations. An experienced dealer can discuss handling, trailer and storage implications, and whether the added size is appropriate for the home waters and typical crew.
What prospective pontoon owners should compare
The new AquaPatio provides an example of how premium pontoon design is becoming more customisable, but a specification sheet cannot establish whether the deck will be easy for every family to use. Visitors should inspect boarding gates, storage, seating layouts and the position of handholds during a demonstration.
Owners also need to distinguish standard features from additional-cost upgrades, especially when comparing one dealer quotation with another. The new rail system, displays and twin-engine arrangement may be configured differently according to model and ordered options.
Godfrey is highlighting convenience and comfort as much as speed. For a recreational buyer, the most useful question is whether those features suit ordinary days on the water and remain straightforward to maintain over several seasons.
