The scale of a large boat show is useful when it brings many practical choices into one waterfront visit. Organisers of Genoa's 66th International Boat Show have announced more than 1,000 boats and 215 new products for the 1–6 October 2026 edition.
The show-wide figures include yachts far beyond Leisure Boat Guide's under-12-metre remit. Our interest will be in compact craft, outboards, onboard equipment, small-boat builders and the services used by ordinary owners.
An expanded waterfront layout
The official presentation says the in-water display has grown by four percent over the previous edition. Genoa's developing waterfront provides additional areas for comparing boats in their normal floating environment.
A total exhibition capacity does not say which exact models will be on each berth. Visitors should confirm a prospective purchase model with its exhibitor before travelling.
Products beyond the hull
Engines, accessories and marine technology form an important part of the announced 215-product programme. Some components can be relevant to a small boat even when their supplier also serves larger vessels.
Individual specifications, model compatibility and installation requirements need their own review. A show announcement is an invitation to inspect rather than proof of performance.
A practical six-day visit
The exhibition is scheduled from Thursday 1 through Tuesday 6 October, allowing different visitor patterns across the weekend and weekdays. Buyers may benefit from scheduling focused conversations with relevant specialists.
