A compact console does not leave much room for separate screens for plotting, radar and fishing data. Furuno has expanded its NavNet family with TZtouchE models in nine- and thirteen-inch sizes, drawing on features associated with the larger TZtouchXL environment.
The devices are intended for connected installations rather than being a simple stand-alone fish finder. A boat owner should check the exact sensors and network equipment required for the functions desired.
Two useful display footprints
The TZT9E and TZT13E use sunlight-readable touch displays and support TZ MAPS cartography. Choosing between them should involve viewing distance, console geometry and how much information will be shown together.
A larger screen may be easier to read but could obstruct other controls on a narrow helm. A paper mock-up can help establish fit before cutting the panel.
Connection brings more options
Radar, sonar and other Furuno data can be integrated through supported network components. This makes the system configurable, but compatibility needs verification at the individual model level.
A display cannot make missing or faulty sensors accurate. Installation, updates and proper navigation practice remain part of ownership.
A boat-specific choice
An under-12-metre cruiser can benefit from a tidy, familiar interface without building a large bridge. The buyer should compare current chart subscription and accessory requirements.
LBG uses Furuno's official named-product image and release. This is separate from the brand's simpler TZMAP series. Buyers should check the display in person before fitting.
