The R7 update concentrates on everyday usability

Finnmaster has retained the basic all-rounder character of the Husky R7 while changing several areas that owners use repeatedly during a normal day afloat. The most practical revisions are at the stern and around the cockpit rather than being limited to cosmetic changes.

That approach suits a boat expected to cover fishing, swimming, family outings and general coastal use. Small improvements to boarding routes and deck levels can make a noticeable difference when passengers are moving on and off the boat throughout the day.

A longer swim platform simplifies access to the water

The refreshed R7 receives an extended swim platform and a single-step deck arrangement. Finnmaster says the changes create more usable space and make movement between the cockpit, stern and water easier.

Owners using the boat for swimming or watersports should still look closely at ladder position, handholds and clearance around the outboard. A larger platform is most useful when the boarding route remains clear once fenders, lines and other equipment are aboard.

An optional T-top adds more weather protection

Finnmaster has introduced a new optional T-top for the Husky R7, giving buyers a more substantial form of protection than an open centre-console layout normally provides. The structure also changes the visual character of the boat and can create useful mounting space above the helm.

A T-top adds shade and shelter but also brings extra windage and overhead clearance to consider. Buyers who trailer the boat or regularly use low bridges and covered storage should include the roof height in their practical comparison.

New finishes sharpen the 2026 appearance

The update includes new hull graphics with red accents, revised MarineMAT flooring and refreshed cushions and seats using matching details. Finnmaster has used the changes to give the R7 a closer visual relationship with current Mercury-powered Husky models.

The revised appearance will be subjective, but the flooring and upholstery should also be assessed for grip, cleaning and long-term durability. Buyers comparing the 2026 boat with an earlier R7 should focus on the functional stern and protection changes as well as the new colour treatment.
