Engine-bay heat is one of the main targets
DEI says its marine products are intended to help reduce engine-compartment temperatures and protect nearby surfaces, wiring and sensitive components. Heat management can be particularly important in compact leisure boats where engines, generators and electrical equipment share confined spaces.
The company is adapting materials and products from applications where thermal control has long been part of the installation process. Marine versions also need to cope with moisture, vibration and repeated exposure to demanding onboard conditions.
Noise and vibration control are part of the same range
The expansion also covers acoustic products designed to reduce unwanted noise and vibration inside boats. That can include damping materials, barriers and insulation used around machinery spaces, panels and cabins where structure-borne sound can affect comfort.
For smaller leisure boats, reducing machinery noise can make cruising and overnight use more pleasant without changing the propulsion system itself. Correct installation remains important because materials must not obstruct ventilation, servicing access or safety equipment.
DEI is targeting owners as well as boatbuilders
The company says the marine range is intended for recreational, commercial and OEM applications rather than only factory-installed systems. That opens the products to refit work as well as new-build installations by boat manufacturers.
DEI’s dedicated marine section groups heat-control, sound-control and component-protection products for boating use. The company states that around 90 percent of its overall product range is manufactured in the United States.
IBEX will be the formal marine-industry introduction
DEI plans to present the range to boatbuilders, manufacturers, dealers and other marine professionals at IBEX 2026 in Tampa. The event runs from October 6 to 8 and is one of the main technical trade shows for the North American recreational boating industry.
The launch broadens the supplier base available to boatbuilders looking for temperature and acoustic-control solutions. For owners, the practical relevance will be in products that can make machinery spaces easier to manage and cabins quieter when specified and installed correctly.
