A 6.05m step up in Buster's centre-console range
The XL CC measures 6.05 metres long and 2.20 metres wide, placing it above Buster's existing Scc and Mcc centre-console boats. The new model uses a robust all-aluminium centre console and is designed for open-water use across archipelagos and large lakes.
Moving the helm to the centre creates walk-around access on both sides, which can be useful when fishing, handling cargo or moving passengers around a compact boat. The trade-off is that the console occupies valuable deck width, so buyers should inspect side-deck clearance with their normal equipment aboard.
Six-person capacity supports mixed leisure use
Buster lists a maximum capacity of six people and a maximum load of 700kg. The builder describes the boat as suitable for professional tasks, cargo transport, fishing, commuting and family outings, reflecting the flexible role often expected from Nordic aluminium boats.
Maximum capacity is a certification figure rather than a promise of equal comfort for every activity. Fishing gear, coolers, safety equipment and other loads can quickly consume working space, so owners should judge the layout around their normal crew and equipment.
Outboard power runs from 80hp to 115hp
The recommended engine range is 80–115hp, with Buster quoting a top speed of around 36 knots. The builder identifies the most fuel-efficient speed band as approximately 15–25 knots, giving owners a useful reference for ordinary cruising rather than only maximum performance.
Actual consumption and speed will vary with engine choice, propeller, loading and conditions. Buyers who spend most of their time fishing or carrying cargo may value mid-range efficiency and low-speed control more than the final few knots of top speed.
Production starts in October 2026
Buster says production of the XL CC begins in October 2026, turning the June announcement into an imminent production model rather than a distant concept. The company also says an even larger XXL CC will follow later as demand for centre-console boats expands.
For buyers considering the first production boats, dealer demonstrations should help clarify ride, wind protection and practical deck use. Aluminium construction can offer durability and straightforward maintenance, but hull noise, seating comfort and protection from weather still deserve an on-water assessment.
