Leisure boating is as much about rivers, canals and lakes as it is about the sea. British Marine has reopened nominations for its Inland Sector Awards, giving businesses in that part of the industry an opportunity to present their work.
The 2026/27 programme is open to eligible British Marine Inland members. It seeks examples of achievement and innovation rather than being a consumer product test.
Three categories provide the focus
The association is inviting nominations across three award categories involving business, product or service achievements and sustainability. Firms need to review the official category wording before submitting their entry.
Inland operators include marinas, boatyards, equipment suppliers and companies supporting recreational craft. Their services can be essential to users of small motorboats, dinghies and other inland vessels.
Recognition can highlight less visible work
The announcement places attention on people and businesses contributing to inland boating. Many of those organisations work behind the scenes rather than launching a new boat at a major international show.
