Bennington pushes pontoon output to 1,000 horsepower
Bennington has unveiled its 2027 model-year range with a new Triptical Sport Package capable of supporting twin 500hp engines for a combined 1,000hp. The package is available across RT, R, RX, Q and QX series boats.
The configuration uses three 29-inch elliptical tubes and carries 116 gallons of fuel, with a dual 116-gallon option available. Bennington has also revised the running surfaces, spray shielding and water-management features to improve handling and ride comfort at higher speeds.
Technology and comfort upgrades spread across the range
The Vivid UX helm gains a bow camera, live fuel-burn data and saved user settings. Selected premium models can also be specified with a heated bow bench and six-way adjustable helm seats.
Other changes include revised bimini and arch designs, a seven-stage Rockford Fosgate audio range and new exterior colour choices. The R Series receives a redesigned exterior, while tritoon construction and PowerShade become standard on several premium lines.
Thirty-year anniversary adds limited-edition models
The 2027 programme marks Bennington Marine’s 30th anniversary. Limited-edition boats will be offered with dedicated graphics, anniversary badging, custom furniture, a special steering wheel and programmable headlight animation.
Although pontoon boats sit outside the core superyacht market, high-output multi-engine packages and increasingly sophisticated helm systems matter to the wider marine supply chain. Technologies proven at scale in production boats often influence tenders, guest craft and other fast auxiliary vessels used around larger yachts.
