Barcelona prepares a larger 2026 waterfront show

The 2026 Barcelona International Boat Show will bring together 170 exhibitors, more than 300 represented brands and over 200 boats from 14 to 18 October. The 63rd edition will use Moll de la Fusta and Marina Port Vell, combining an in-water display with shoreside stands and visitor areas.

Organised by Fira de Barcelona with Spain’s national nautical-industry association, the event is adding areas focused on watersports, destinations, on-water experiences and electric boating. The expanded format is intended to make the show relevant to both buyers and trade visitors across several parts of the recreational marine market.

International brands return alongside premieres

The exhibitor list includes major production builders and marine brands such as Beneteau, Jeanneau, Lagoon, Excess, Mercury, Bluegame, Sea Ray and X-Yachts. Oyster, Amel and YYachts are also returning after several years away, adding more large-yacht and premium sailing interest to the event.

The afloat display is expected to include the world premiere of the 19.65-metre YYachts Y6 and the Spanish debut of the twin-outboard YOT 53 catamaran. Eight European Yacht of the Year nominees and 14 boats over 16 metres are also scheduled to attend, giving visitors a concentrated view of new-model activity.

Port Vell keeps Barcelona connected to larger yachts

Marina Port Vell’s role within the event gives Barcelona a direct link between the mainstream boat-show market and a marina that regularly serves larger yachts and superyachts. That overlap is useful for suppliers and service businesses whose products may span multiple vessel sizes.

The October dates place Barcelona immediately after the main Cannes, Monaco and Genoa exhibition cycle. For builders and buyers, the show offers another opportunity to compare new models and technologies before the European autumn season gives way to winter events and the 2027 order cycle.
