The system splits control between two modules

Zeus Omega uses an Alternator Drive Module mounted close to each alternator and a separate Control Module that manages the system. One Control Module can communicate with as many as six drive modules over ARCO's proprietary CAN network.

Splitting the hardware can shorten high-current sensing and control connections around the engine. That may make installation cleaner on small boats where engine compartments are tight and long cable runs quickly become difficult to route.

Drive modules support several system voltages

The Alternator Drive Module supports 12, 24, 36 and 48-volt alternators and can work with P-type and N-type units. With ARCO alternators, quick-connect fittings are intended to reduce installation work, while pigtails support third-party alternators.

A hall-effect current sensor replaces the shunt used by the earlier regulator design. Because it clamps around the conductor, installers do not have to interrupt a high-current cable solely to measure alternator output.

The control module integrates with wider boat systems

ARCO says the Control Module interfaces with NMEA 2000, Victron DVCC, CZone and RV-C. It can also work with communicating batteries or use external current sensing where a battery management system does not provide data.

That matters as lithium batteries become more common in leisure boats. High-output charging needs accurate limits and temperature protection, because the goal is not simply to push the maximum possible current into the bank.

App setup and remote logs target easier service

The companion app is intended to simplify configuration and warn users about unsafe settings. Cloud connectivity and event logging also give installers a way to review operating history and adjust parameters without always being physically beside the boat.

For owners, the attraction is faster charging without running a generator or remaining tied to shore power. The system still needs professional design because alternator load, belt capacity, cable sizing and battery limits must all be matched correctly.
