Aquila Catamarans has unveiled the all-new 35 Sport at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026, adding a 10.81-metre power catamaran to its reworked Sport range. The model takes the entertainment-focused layout and SUV-influenced styling of the larger 45 Sport into a size that remains comfortably within Leisure Boat Guide’s under-12m coverage.
A 10.81m catamaran with a 4.49m beam
The 35 Sport measures 10.81 metres overall with a 4.49-metre beam, creating substantially more deck width than a conventional monohull of similar length. Aquila divides that space into separate social areas at the bow, helm and aft cockpit, with seating arranged around day use rather than a traditional enclosed-cruiser layout.
The loaded displacement is listed at 9,053kg and draft with the outboards down at 0.79 metres. CE certification covers Category B for eight people, Category C for 16 and Category D for 24, although practical passenger numbers should always reflect the intended water conditions and loading rather than the highest certification figure alone.
Twin Mercury outboards and a stepped hull
Standard propulsion is twin Mercury Verado V8 300hp outboards, with twin V10 400hp engines available as an option. Aquila uses a double-stepped catamaran hull and quotes a top-speed range of approximately 39 to 45 knots depending on engine choice and setup, with cruising speeds between about 25 and 34 knots.
Those are manufacturer figures and will vary with payload, fuel, sea state and propeller selection. The boat carries 1,500 litres of fuel, which is unusually substantial for a 35-foot leisure craft and reflects the twin-hull platform, higher-power options and intended mix of fast day use and weekend cruising.
Sliding aft seating changes the walkway
Aquila has used powered sliding U-shaped seating in the aft cockpit so the module can move laterally to widen the port or starboard passage when boarding or docking. The seating can also convert toward a lounging layout, while a wet bar, sink and Corian-topped galley block support day entertaining.
At the helm, four seats sit behind a deliberately low dashboard to preserve visibility. The hardtop can take optional roof racks for boards, bicycles or kayaks, while an optional shade system extends coverage over the aft deck when the boat is being used at anchor.
A real overnight cabin rather than token storage
Below deck, the 35 Sport provides a private queen berth and a separate head with shower, giving two people genuine overnight accommodation. An optional lithium package can support climate control away from shore power, while the boat’s C-Zone digital switching system manages DC loads.
Aquila says production deliveries are due to begin in early 2027 after the Cannes world premiere, with the model scheduled for its Americas debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in late October. The combination of broad deck space, 39-to-45-knot performance and a usable double cabin gives the 35 Sport a distinct position between open centre-console cats and enclosed weekend cruisers.
