A modern interpretation of Mediterranean tradition

The Apreamare Gozzo 35 appears in Barcelona International Boat Show's 2026 on-water catalogue at 11.20 metres long and 3.70 metres wide. The Italian model draws on the gozzo heritage of classic coastal craft while using contemporary hull design and arrangements for spending time outside. Its presence at the 14–18 October exhibition broadens the alternatives to more angular sports boats.

Naval architecture by Umberto Tagliavini and exterior design associated with Marco Casali give the Gozzo 35 its distinctive character. It is not designed to replicate a working fishing vessel, but to combine familiar shapes with amenities for recreational families who want to swim, explore and occasionally stay aboard.

A spacious walk-around social deck

The boat is organised around an open cockpit and routes along the sides for moving from stern to bow. A generous bathing platform and outdoor seating suit a day spent between short passages and anchorages. Compared with a fully enclosed cruiser, the Gozzo 35 emphasises the experience of being close to the water and socialising outside.

A buyer should assess where shade can be fitted, how high the bow steps are and whether there are dependable handholds in choppy conditions. A wide, attractive deck is only truly practical when crew members can move safely and store clothing, lines and fenders without obstructing the passage.

Engine options affect the experience

Apreamare Spain lists Volvo Penta D4-270 installations with either DPI sterndrives or shaft drives. The dealer quotes maximum speeds of approximately 32 knots for the DPI version and 29 knots for the shaft-drive version, with variations depending on load and conditions. A separate outboard variant exists with different dimensions and performance, so comparisons should not mix the two sets of figures.

The inboard model's stated draft is 0.90 metres and displacement approximately seven tonnes. These are published guide figures rather than substitute specifications for the actual boat. Owners should request the exact configuration and understand both the service network and any propeller or underwater-gear considerations.

A short-stay platform rather than just a dayboat

The design includes below-deck accommodation and essential facilities intended to support overnight stays. Those spaces can make coastal weekends easier for a couple who want to explore several bays before returning home. Buyers should check ventilation, headroom and the convenience of preparing breakfast or using the bathroom while still aboard.

A classic visual identity may be appealing, but the complete purchase case needs realistic sea-trial information, current costs and a clear equipment schedule. The Barcelona exhibition offers that first opportunity for direct inspection. It does not establish an immediate delivery date or a special show price. Depending on the layout, a comfortable overnight stay may be possible with relatively little preparation, but the boat electrical and freshwater systems must still support that expectation. A short demonstration of normal domestic systems would be valuable.
