Kawasaki has upgraded its Ultra 310 personal-watercraft range for the 2027 model year with a new 12.3-inch multifunction touchscreen and additional rider-safety technology. The series continues to use the supercharged 1,498cc in-line four-cylinder marine engine rated at 310PS.
The new display is the headline change, but the update also covers the rear-view camera, passenger monitoring and warranty. Kawasaki says the 2027 Ultra 310 models will carry a three-year manufacturer warranty in Europe.
New display combines navigation and vessel information
The 12.3-inch touchscreen can show a 3D-style tachometer, navigation mapping, downward-looking sonar information and shallow-water alerts. Audio information and the feed from the rear-view camera can also be shown on the same screen.
The rear camera itself has been upgraded to 1,080 by 480 pixels. Better resolution can make low-speed manoeuvring and checking the area behind the PWC easier, although it does not replace looking around before changing direction.
JET LINK monitors passengers carrying fobs
New for 2027 is Kawasaki’s JET LINK Overboard Detection and Notification system. The PWC can connect to one or more passenger fobs and display an alert if a passenger carrying a linked fob falls overboard.
The feature is designed to tell the rider quickly that someone is no longer aboard. It should still be used alongside normal PWC safety procedures, suitable personal flotation devices and careful passenger supervision.
Ultra 310 retains its touring equipment
Kawasaki continues to include launch control, power modes, Smart Reverse with Deceleration and large onboard storage. The Ultra platform also offers JETSOUND audio, an extended rear deck and substantial front and easy-access storage compartments.
For LBG readers, the 2027 changes distinguish the Ultra 310 from the STX 310R and 310RX already covered separately. The focus here is on the larger touring platform and its updated electronics rather than a new engine architecture.
