Seychelles Spa Announces October Wellness Residency

Four Seasons Resort Seychelles has announced an October residency by visiting Japanese bodywork practitioner Azusa Segawa, with bookable therapies at Le Syel Spa.

An October appointment in the Seychelles

A holiday beside the water can create time for rest and wellness activities. The announced hotel programme is a shoreside service, not medical advice or an onboard boating facility. For travellers building time ashore into an Indian Ocean itinerary, a short visiting-practitioner programme adds a date-specific reason to plan an extra day at a resort. Four Seasons Resort Seychelles says Japanese specialist Azusa Segawa will be in residence at its Le Syel Spa from 1 to 30 October 2026.

The hotel announced the programme on 25 September, ahead of the residency itself. It is a temporary guest offering rather than a permanent new spa facility, and the treatments are subject to appointment availability.

Traditional bodywork in a resort setting

Segawa specialises in Chi Nei Tsang, cranial therapy and therapeutic Thai bodywork, bringing approaches associated with traditional Asian bodywork to the Seychelles property. The resort describes Chi Nei Tsang as an abdominal treatment and positions the programme around relaxation and restorative guest experiences.

These descriptions are the resort's account of its wellness services, not independent medical evidence of health benefits. Anyone with a medical concern or a condition affecting the suitability of massage should seek appropriate professional guidance before booking.

Three treatment approaches

The announced menu includes a Chi Nei Tsang abdominal session, a combination of Chi Nei Tsang with cranial therapy, and Thai bodywork delivered on a floor mat without oils. The latter combines Thai and shiatsu-inspired techniques, with additional elements selected according to a guest's needs.

A visiting specialist can make a resort spa feel more like a curated experience than an interchangeable treatment list. The practical distinction for travellers is the limited October window, with specific session choices and suitability best discussed directly with the spa.

Combining a yacht passage and time ashore

Seychelles cruising plans are shaped by weather, routing and the marine arrangements for a particular vessel, while a resort day calls for separate transfer planning. A spa booking should therefore sit alongside, rather than replace, the operational decisions involved in arriving by yacht.

Four Seasons' announcement offers a clearly dated shoreside option for owners and guests travelling through the islands in October. The photographs accompanying the official release depict the resort setting, not an implied treatment outcome or the person providing it. Guests with personal health questions should consult a qualified professional. Hotel wellness programmes are not substitutes for medical care.
