A Portable Pedal Kayak Can Turn a Campsite into a Waterside Holiday

A campsite near a sheltered lake can feel quite different when visitors are able to get onto the water for an hour. Hobie’s inflatable Mirage iTrek 11 offers a pedal-kayak example for travellers who want a portable craft rather than a rigid boat on the roof.

Treat setup as part of the day

An inflatable kayak still needs a suitable pump, proper pressure, a correctly installed drive and a safe carrying route from the vehicle. Check the model-year manual before inflation rather than rely on a similar-looking kayak's settings.

A campsite may have rules about launching or storing craft, so confirm access when booking. An inflatable boat should not be left in an unsuitable place where heat or damage may affect its condition.

Start with a protected loop
