Scottish Canals has announced Illumin8 for 26 and 27 September 2026 to celebrate 25 years of the Millennium Link project. The programme brings illuminated trails and a water, light and laser show to the site rather than a conventional boating timetable.
A new look at a familiar landmark
As the evening begins, the basin becomes a stage framed by the engineering of the rotating lift. The grounds form part of the visit, with installations and paths intended to encourage exploration beyond one viewpoint.
