Barcolana’s Un Mare di Racconti literary festival will return to Trieste from 5 to 10 October as part of the wider programme around Barcolana58. Around 20 guests are scheduled for six days of discussion and storytelling at Casa della Musica, with the sea, adventure, history and memory running through the programme.
The event is a reminder that sailing festivals can contribute to the cultural life of a waterfront city instead of operating as self-contained sporting fixtures. Visitors can move between boats, public spaces and literature without leaving the wider story of the sea behind.
