Citroën has introduced OUTDOOR versions of its C3, C3 Aircross and Ami, pairing distinctive finishes with everyday comfort for people whose coastal breaks start with a drive to the waterfront.
Not every trip to the coast calls for a large SUV. For a couple carrying beach gear or a family visiting a marina, the journey may be an ordinary drive that feels different because of the destination.
Citroën has introduced OUTDOOR variants across the C3, C3 Aircross and Ami ranges. The September announcement presents them as distinctive versions of existing vehicles rather than a new class of off-road utility vehicle.
Three vehicles take a common theme
On the C3 and C3 Aircross, the OUTDOOR specification sits above MAX and adds model-specific exterior treatments. New bumpers, contrasting details and special seat materials give the cars a different appearance for everyday use.
A Sequoia Green colour joins the palette, along with other exterior shades and design details. The two models serve different space requirements, so a household still needs to compare the cabin and luggage capacity of the exact version.
The Ami gets its own interpretation
The electric Ami OUTDOOR comes in Khaki Green and introduces a sunroof on a closed-top version for the first time. Its compact format is aimed at local trips, not long-distance towing or replacing a full-size family vehicle.
That can appeal to owners who live near the shore and make short journeys between home, shops and the waterfront. Practical use will still depend on local vehicle rules, road conditions and charging arrangements.
Choose for the real coastal journey
The design theme is not evidence of a particular tow rating or suitability for rough launch ramps. Anyone transporting a boat should verify the approved trailer capacity and loading limits for the exact car and powertrain.
For LBG readers, the new trim offers another way to combine routine travel with outdoor weekends. It is the actual passengers, equipment and distances that determine which vehicle fits a boating lifestyle.
